[Error: unknown template qotd] An acquaitance is someone who I can share the more shallower information with. I don't dislike them, in fact I enjoy spending time with them. We can talk about movies, complain about the fuel hikes and share the more 'general' talks. I think it is fair to say that looking from the outside, you would think we are good friends.
The difference with a friend is that: A friend is someone who I confide in, someone who knows me well enough that they can spot if I am not doing well even if I do not mention it, and be concerned. They know they'll get support from me if the situations were reversed. They are the people I trust and I know I'm trusted by them in return.
Perhaps it is a tall order and I may be mistaken about people and friendship and my perceptions on people. I do know this: Those are the rare few, who are content being friendless.
