1.My username is Windrider_09. Windrider because it is my oldest nickname out of the few I do use. It is the nickname given by Wolverine (X-Men) to my favourite X-Men character, Storm. When I started in the online world, X-Men were my favourite, and at the time only fandom. I still keep the name, even when I have stopped keeping up with the X-Men universe thanks to Marvel's greed. The suffix _09 is simply something to distinguish since Windrider was taken. 9 is my second favourite number and the underscore is a left over from my early work days when one needed to keep some of the DOS rules in the earliest Microsoft Operating system I had support, Windows95.
2. My journal is titled... Driver's Guide To The Galaxy. It is apartial obvious plagiarism of Douglas Adams' first literary work. I am a huge fan of science fiction/fantasy satire and since at the time of naming I was also trying to locate a copy of the whole Hitchhiker's trilogy-in-five-part, this kinda sprang to mind as a temporary title and well, stayed permanently.
3. My subtitle is - Taking a U-turn At Mercury, sort of a extension on the parody to the Hitchhiker's guide to the universe and is a title of a planned novella that I am writing (since it is chicklit I am shy to show even the few things I have written and planned).
4. My friends page is called Fellow Travellers - kinda makes sense if the title is the Driver's Guide, well, to me at least.
5. My default userpic is one of my favourite covers of X-Men's Storm. This appeared on the cover of Uncanny X-Men 449, I have made the original icon myself (in my case that means I accidentally cut and cropped successfully) and later modified by the ever so kindmelancthe and made into an animated icon to recreate the effect one gets from looking at the full cover.
